Intro to Dressmaking
Learn to sew - PJ Shorts

If you've not used a pattern before, this is a good place to start.

You will learn how how to understand the pattern, how to place the pattern pieces on the fabric and cut out.... then sew it all together!

 These are lovely simple elasticated shorts useful as PJ's,  or for just relaxing around the house. You can make them long if preferred.

Bring your own fabric, or a small selection will be available to purchase on the day.

Full pattern included (with lots of other items to make RRP £12.00)

                                    Cleo Dress

Make a Cleo Dungaree Dress in this full day workshop.

Are you looking for a simple dressmaking project? Then this lovely Cleo pinafore on-trend dress is a great place to start!

The Cleo is fairly simple to sew, with no zips! You have the option to make it dungaree-style with buckles, or as a pinafore with button fastenings. You can also choose what length you prefer, mini or knee length, and where you would like pockets. You can make yours unique with contrast topstitching!

Such a versatile dress, you can wear Cleo all year round, layered over a t-shirt, shirt or sweater.

This workshop is a full day, with a break for lunch

Make a Craft Apron  

Making an apron is a good intermediary step between making small items and dressmaking

You will be guided through the process of pattern placement and cutting out your fabric, then how to put the pieces together to complete  your apron.

This apron has a side facing making, teaching you how to make a neat finish

The apron will be made from a Sew Make It paper pattern which you will have to keep for future makes

Fabrics and apron ties will be provided

The apron is designed for a heavy weight cotton, canvas or denim and has a useable front pocket, which can be divided into two sections.  Other pocket options will be discussed on the day

This apron will have many uses, for cooking, gardening, painting, crafting to name a few

Bring along your sewing machine, thread and a small sewing kit and enjoy a few relaxing hours with like minded people and take home your beautiful apron
